Acupuncture therapy
Acupuncture is a method of prevention and treatment of diseases.
The human body has a dual character, consisting of matter sustained by energy. To maintain health and heal the body twofold action is necessary : on physically body and on its energies.
The human body is crossed by 12 energy paired meridians and two individual energy meridians. The disease is material representation of energies imbalances in the body.
Acupuncture consists in implantation of needles in certain points located along these energy meridians. Acupuncture restores the structure and function of matter by restoring energy balance.
Diseases successfully treated by acupuncture :
- Pain of any kind - neuralgia, including trigeminal neuralgia)
- Paralysis of any kind - including post stroke paralysis, post-traumatic paresis, facial nerve paresis including "a frigore" paresis)
- Allergies
- Asthma
- Neuroses
- Erectile Dysfunction
- Frigidity
- Immune disorders
Acupuncture is an adjunctive therapy in osteoarthritis, arthritis, discopathy, spondylosis, neuro-algodystrophy syndromes.
Acupuncture can obtain good results in the field of aesthetics and cosmetic treatments : wrinkle treatment, facial liftings, toning breasts, stretch marks and cellulitis elimination. Associated with other therapies - massage, phytotherapy - acupuncture is useful in tissue rejuvenation treatments and skin rejuvenation.
Placing needles in skin is not painful because the needle tip is spherical and there is no nerve endings in the acupuncture point. During sting, the point begins to transmit two-way information flow: energy flows to organs affected by the nervous system to the brain, which "commands" to affected organ to begin the healing process.
An average acupuncture session lasts 40 minutes.
Transmission of the information flow takes place throughout the session of acupuncture and continues until next session. It is therefore important not to discontinue the treatment because the brain coordinates the process of healing according to the latest information received.
There is no bleeding at the time of removal of needles, unless in the appropriate organ or meridian to which the point belongs to the point there is stagnant blood to be removed. In this case a few drops of blood occur when the needle is removed.
Acupuncture needles are made of copper, silver, gold, platinum and stainless steel. In Romania, the most common are the silver and stainless steel needles. The more noble the metal, the more clear information submitted.
Acupuncture can be combined with a less known procedure, which Chinese call Moxa.
The method consists of burning of a certain quantity of a particular substance placed on the handle of the needle placed in the meridian point. Wormwood (Herbal Absinthe) is often used harvested and preserved in certain circumstances, well pressed and weighed very precisely. Thus, some energy vibrations, very similar with the vibration of a healthy body, are transmitted throungh the needle at the level of the stimulated point. Through this transfer an energetic self-regulation phenomenon of the treated person is initiated.
In acupuncture there are few contraindications : a) pregnancy - it's recommended to avoid acupuncture unless some areas are excluded; b) open wounds - to avoid acupuncture session which would cover areas with open wounds; and c) tumors - to avoid areas very close to tumors.
